Dyrhólaey is a small peninsula at the southern tip of Iceland, where I traveled with my partner Carley in August/September of 2014. This e.p. is part of a quiet little wheelbarrow of feelings I put together for Carley's twenty-second birthday. It was recorded in February 2015 by Sean Dorian, with the help of Cameron Burke. This is one third of the whole project; it is meant to accompany drawings and poetry, which will likely remain unreleased.
The instruments and sounds: My grandparents' 1929 Steinway; an organ I bought from Nathan for $40; iPhone recordings from Framingham and Boston, MA, and from Maplewood, NJ.
